Fashion Friday

on March 2, 2012

How is your Friday going? I hope well. Mine is going pretty good so far. I’m going into my 5 year old’s kindergarten class to help out and that’s always so fun. The kids are so nice at this age!:) They’re always so excited to see me and show me what they’ve been doing in class! It’s so cute!

Anyway, today we’re going to be talking about skirts. I LOVE skirts!! They’re so fun and so different! So many styles and fabrics and feels to every one! And they’re all different, too! I have TONS of skirts in my closet. I think I have maybe 2 dresses. Skirts are just so much easier to wear as a mom, at least in my opinion. I can where them anytime, any day and I don’t feel too dressed up. I also feel like I can move around like normal in skirts. That’s not always the case with dresses.

Yesterday, I was looking through my closet trying to figure out what to wear and I really didn’t like my choises for pants. I only have 3 pairs of pants right now that FIT me:P So during the week I wear 2 pairs and then on the weekend I wear the last pair while I wash the other two. I hate it! Because if I get one of the pairs dirty early on in the week or at the end of the week I don’t have much to do about it. I usually just have to deal with the dirty jeans and continue wearing them or wear the same pair of pants for longer. UGH! I hate it!

Well, I had my skinny Khakis in rotation for yesterday, but I really didn’t feel like wearing them. I just wasn’t in a skinny pants mood. I looked through my closet to see what I had in the way of skirts to wear, but it was a cold, snowy, yucky day so I didn’t want to wear anything too long to get it all wet if I went outside and it was too cold to wear a shorter skirt.

My solution?

I picked out a skirt that wasn’t too short (not that I wear mini skirts or anything!! lol), but not too long and then I put on some black leggings underneath it!! Yay! I solved my problem and now I’m not cold while wearing my comfy skirt!

That’s another thing I really like about wearing skirts; they’re usually pretty comfy with an elastic waste that can stretch to fit you. Unlike, my jeans or khakis, I don’t have to squeeze into a skirt! WOOHOO!

So, there you have it, skirts are a good way to stay comfortable. I’m not to sure what everyone else thinks, but to me skirts are very fashionable!:)

Good solution. I’m in the same boat as you. I’m in dire need of pants.

I LOVE to hear from you!
